Post ‘Pokiri’, Ileana’s life underwent a sea-change.

Ileana was reportedly paid Rs 1.4 crore to star in Shankar’s ‘Nanban’.’I want to do roles of substance. I am not for a feeble and a dull storyline. I want a strong woman in the story,’ said Ileana. Ileana made her debut in Bollywood with the critically acclaimed ‘Barfi!’.
‘I have been doing south films for six years. And there were lot of offers from Bollywood earlier which did not interest me much. The storyline and my role in ‘Barfi!’ is something I liked a lot. It is different from what I have done so far, hence I chose to do this film. It is all about the right time,’ said Ileana. Her next Bollywood films after ‘Main Tera Hero’ will be ‘Happy Ending’ with Saif Ali Khan. ‘In a Bollywood masala film there would be little bit of acting to do, you have to look pretty throughout and dance with a handsome man. I don’t want to get into such a film,’ said Ileana.’You have to manage the lines and be funny without having an audience before you. But we all followed Davidji (director David Dhawan) who is so energetic that it adds to your performance,’ Ileana said in an interview. Apparently, dancing is one of the most difficult bits of her job, for Ileana. ‘I find dancing a little challenging because I am not trained,’ she said during a recent interview.
About her next release, ‘Happy Ending’ Ileana has said, ‘It’s different from anything I have done before. And it has been challenging because it’s new for me. It’s like doing a new and first film altogether.’Adding to the hype around ‘Main Tera Hero’ is an on-screen kiss between Ileana and Varun Dhawan. The actress told the ‘Indian Express’, ‘For me it’s believing in a script, and if the script demands I have no qualms about it. Of course, it should be shot well, because a kiss is nothing but a form of expression.’ Ileana hasn’t signed any films down South in recent times and is clearly focusing on Bollywood. The buzz is that she may just team up in Aamir Khan’s next, though nothing is confirmed as of now n.
